Thyroid problem during pregnancy

2020-03-18 12:15:46
Hello Doctor, I am 13 weeks pregnant currently consulting gynecologist Dr Sita Gururaja and she informed me to contact an endocrinologist to seek advice on the thyroid function tests. She asked me to do blood test on 15th Feb where the tsh level was high hence she prescribed thyronorm 50 mg empty stomach. She suggested to do the tpo and tsh test once again. Where the tsh level is under control , however the tpo level looks high. Kindly advice on the next steps and I have also attached the lab test reports.

Hypothyroidism should not be taken lightly with pregnancy. The TSH isn't normal, target TSH for pregnancy is 1 to 2.5 before planning and during pregnancy.
