Thumb Pain

Hello I recently slipped off stairs and had a shoulder injury. I am using immobilizer for shoulder after consulting doctor but now my thumb (at the end point) is also paining a lot. I am able to move the thumb but it pains and is tender to touch too. What should I do?

You should have uploaded a picture of thumb showing the area of pain. It would be helpful in diagnosis.

You may injury to thumb UCL when you got slipped . Better to get examine and xray of your thumb . Till then do Ice packs and avoid loading activities to thumb

Dear, If you are able to move your thumb, possibility of bony injury is less whereas possibility of ligament injury, Soft tissue injury is high.

-Hot fomentation -Apply thumb spica splint -Continue painkiller tablet
Health Tips
If not relieved in 3-4 days , get yourself examined and get a X-ray done.
