Teething discomfort
It takes months for my 19months babys tooth to erupt though the tooth can b seen through the gums. He gets v.angry and keeps hitting his chin against everything. Tried paracetomol, ibuprofen, dentonics but nothing soothes him he doesn't take soothers or teethers too. Wants me to nurse him day n night. Why does is take him so it so long for his teeth to erupt. Is there any solution for easing his teething pain? We parents are exhaused. Coz it has been on and on. Till date our baby hasn't slept through the night.

This is quite difficult time for your toddler, at this age there must be eruption of deciduous first molar going on which causes irritation, increased salivation, pain etc. Biting on cold teething toys kept in freezer might relive some pain. Biting on cold carrot, cucumber etc might help but cut piece might choke. Syp. Paracetamol SOS can be given but not more then recommend dose.

Hello this a common problem a chid faces when the tooth is erupting . you can give him some cold food like cucumber which will relieve the pain. also give him some hard fruits like apple and u can try teething rings which will help in reliving the discomfort. hope this helps. thank you
