Escam (if it is escitalopram) and propranolol are different medicines and propranolol can be prescribed for physical symptoms of anxiety. Propranolol can, however, cause dizziness, weakness, slow heart rate and low BP. A heart attack is not an expected effect simply because you took propranolol, but new chest pain with breathing difficulty should be evaluated rather than attributed to the medicine. Do not restart or change these medicines without discussing the exact dose and indication with your doctor. You may consult me on Practo with the prescription and current symptoms for appropriate guidance.

Don’t panic. Propranolol is also used for the physical symptoms like anxiety , fast heartbeat, shaking nd palpitations. U have taken it only for 2 days. stopping it is generally not expected to cause a serious heart problem. If u r currently feeling well and ur BP and pulse r normal, there is no need to panic.
Next Steps
If u have any acute stress disorder or anxiety or palpitations. U can take it 20 mg/day and slowly taper the dose and then u can stop.
Health Tips
please share the exact names and doses of all the medicines you are currently taking so they can be reviewed together. Consult with me for personalized evaluation and treatment of gastrointestinal, liver-related and common general medical conditions. I provide evidence based assessment, appropriate investigations and individualized treatment plans.

Cap. Propranolol LA 20 mg – do not restart/stop without medical advice. Escitalopram (Escam Plus) – consult the prescribing doctor before restarting. Advice: As these medicines were prescribed for anxiety/gastritis, please consult your treating doctor before making any further changes in dose or stopping them.

Actually you are not supposed to stop it abruptly Taper and reduce or else it’ll cause rebound hypertension in hypertensive patients In anxiety patients it reduces heart rate As such in your case if you don’t have any symptoms it is ok No side effects on the heart
