Swollen lymph node

23 year old female. A lymph node in my neck (tonsilar) became suddenly swollen and tender over night It's palpable and painful to touch. It hurts while swallowing. No fever, weight loss or infection that I'm aware of. Doctor said my tonsils look normal and I'm prescribed antibiotics for a week. Could it be malignancy? I'm so worried.

Don't worry, There are other symptoms of malignancy which Doctors must have asked and tried to rule out. Malignancy is a very rare possibility and it's mostly due to local infection which gets cured with a course of antibiotics and NSAIDs.. Best wishes.
