Pains in ear side, swollen face , runny nose, severe headaches. 2/ 3 times in a month spacialy in cold days.

Looks like a recurrent sinusitis as u are having repeated episodes ... It could be either due to allergy or a deviated septum in the nose causing obstruction to sinus drainage ... Kindly consult an ent doctor
