Swollen and tender gums

I've had tonsillitis for the past week and I started my antibiotic regime for the same since the 11th of Jan.. I'm getting better but over the days my gums feel swollen and extremely sensitive, my premolars feel mobile and I'm experiencing food lodgement almost everywhere. I have two root stumps, I planned to extract as soon as my tonsillitis healed and now just over the past few days the gums around my root stumps feel swollen and tender and also the gums around my last molars feel extremely tender. I'm confused whether this a dental issue in itself or is it all because of my tonsillitis? I'm taking augmentin and bifillac twice a day for my Tonsillitis for five days and I've taken dolo 650 thrice a day for two days.

The root stump seems to have got infected and hence you have got swollen gingiva with tenderness. Further you must be having a third molar erupting which causes some pain in the last molar region. The drugs taken for tonsilitis will have effect on your swollen gum area too. But you might require to take one or two drugs additionally as it may be required.
Next Steps
Visit your dentist as early as possible, take the necessary drugs, remove root stumps, replace it with a fixed prosthesis, then if it's required remove your third molar too.
Health Tips
Early intervention is always better, because having a root stump at this young age shows poor oral hygiene. So check all your teeth, maintain a good oral hygiene. Happy and healthy smiles.
