Swelling under eyea
My mother was suffering from covid..Initial symptoms started from 18th April..There is no such problem as of now but now we can find swelling under her eyes without pain which is visible since 5th may. What can be the probable reason? Recently reports were done..Eleveted Serum LDH of 441, D Dimer- 501, CRP 27 was found. Kindly suggest.
Please note that she use steroids 8 mg BD for 10 days then we subsequently stopped it by giving 8 mg OD for 1 day and 4 mg OD for 2 days as her sugar level was spiking.

I think that it’s due to effect of increase sugar level and it’s effect on systemic organ like Kidney so you should continue to monitor blood sugar level with KFT and Lipid profile .
Please monitor blood pressure also .

Keep her sugar level under control.consult endocrinologist if she needs insulin injection along with oral hypoglycemic drug but sugar must be controlled.. Don't let it spike.... Don't overuse the steroid without any doctor prescription....don't self medicate.... And look for warning signs like black nasal discharge, blood from nose, pain and swelling around eyes, decrease in vision, decrease in eye movements, anesthesia over face, black spots over eyes and palate, dental pain
