Swelling in neck
My sister,25 is suffering from neck swelling. I am attaching her fnac reports...kindly suggest what further tests are needed. Doctor has prescribed thyroxin tablet for two months and no tests as of now..I want to know is this cancer?
This is suggestive of thyroid neoplasm, in FNAC test you can’t differentiate between thyroid follicular cancer and non malignant follicular growth .
So treatment will be thyroid surgery , no other treatment possible. This could be a full thyroid removal surgery in a single operation (usually done ) or first partial removal of thyroid followed by full removal of cancer is proven .
In your case please share with me the thyroid profile blood reports T3,T4 TSH report which you have taken , that will help me say when you need to undergo surgery . Also if u have current TSH report please share that too . If USG neck available please attach that report too .
