First finger of right hand has swelled up and paining . She hurt it by hitting against the drawer . What should the treatment be and what can she apply

Cold or ice application should be done Look for movements of fingers If swelling increases or pain does not decrease meet a doctor

Give some anti-inflammatory oral drug for symptomatic relief for 2-3 days.You don’t have to apply anything specific.apply some cold pack around the injury.
Next Steps
If the swelling is increasing or movement is painful then go for X ray of hand to look for any underlying injury
