This fracture definitely needs surgery because the pull on the fracture fragment is very strong and does not allow the fracture to be in alignment. So if left alone, there are chances that the fracture might heal in malalignment (known as malunion) or might not even heal due to fragments not being together for healing to happen (known as non union). So this fracture is a definite case for Surgery.
Next Steps
Immediately consult Orthopaedic Surgeon, and they are going to immobilize the elbow with plaster as a temporary measure till surgery is done, and once surgery is done, the plaster will be removed 10days-2weeks later.
Health Tips
Should not be ignored as this fracture will lead to above mentioned complications very often if not treated surgically
