You probably need a septoplasty which may be combined with another nasal surgery for the nasal sinuses and turbinates as the case may be. This is fine through the nasal breathing passage without any outside scar. At the end of surgery, the nose is blocked for 2 days and then the nose pack is removed. This is followed by regular nose cleaning and healing period is about 3 weeks.

The latest procedure is an Endoscopic Nasal Surgery which can be done as a daycare procedure. Advantages include breathing nasally immediately after surgery( no packs/bandages to nose), no enlargement of structure of nose externally, no complications like septal synaechae/septal perforation/septal saddling/septal abscess! Costs a bit more than conventional septoplasty surgery but for all these advantages... Well worth the premium costing!
