Surgery can be done with high TLC
My mother is a breast cancer patient, alongwith other prblms like BP, thyroid, diabetes and she is taking Ecosprin since Dec 2019.
Her 5 chemo are done now she is up for surgery, her tests are done, earlier her CBC shows low TLC so oncologist prescribed injection of Filgrastim once a day for two days (this Monday n Tuesday) and today when we did her CBC now it's shows almost double count for TLC n other things..
Is it dangerous if TLC is so much high or surgery can be done..attached both previous n today's CBC reports
Also when it will lower down by itself ..
We have struggling for her surgery from last 2 months..don't understand what to do now..
Plzz suggest what to do
Need not worry at all. I usually get this type of picture after filgastrim. It is temporary. I usually operate on such cases after deferring for a week or so and results are quiet good even in these situations after surgery without any complications.

Hello, the rise in TLC level is temporary due to the filgastrim injection.
Her surgery will most likely be planned 3-4 weeks post last session of chemotherapy.
The counts will settle down by then and pose no threat to surgery outcomes unless counts are high due to an active infection which will be ruled out by your treating oncologist.
