Get a fresh urine
pregnancy test. If negative consult a Gynaecologist for medicines.
Pco is nothing but a normal variation in the ovulation and hence the menstrual cycle.
There is nothing called suffering from pco. It is actually not a disease. It's just a variation from normal.
In PCO, ovulation does not take place regularly. Hence menses also are not regular. It's like some have black hair, some have brown. Similarly some have ovulation every month, some have maybe once in 35 days or even more.
Things to take care of are:
1. Diet and exercise. As one starts putting on weight, the fat deposition changes the hormonal balance of the body. So good dietary habits and 1 hour of rigourous exercise is a must.
2. Such women tend to develop
diabetes early in life. So again importance of healthy diet and regular exercise.
3. If menses are delayed, one should always consider oneself to be
pregnant, unless proved otherwise as one does not know when she is ovulating in an irregular cycle and may get pregnant. So no self medication to be done in this period.
4. If menses are delayed one may get heavy bleeding in the next cycle. So in that case immediately consult a qualified gynaecologist.
