Suffering from typhoid
I am suffering from typhoid from 17th of April and today is 22nd of april i am taking cefolac 200 twice a day as antibiotic and p 650 when the feaver crosses 101.. how many days it takes to recover or should i say how many days it will take to reduce the feaver?

Typhoid Fever
Typhoid fever is a systemic disease caused by Salmonella serotype Typhi.
SX â Fever, HA, arthralgia, pharyngitis, constipation, anorexia, abd pain.
PE â
Skin: pink, blanching lesions (rose spots) appear in crops on the chest and abdomen.
Abd: splenomegaly.
Next Steps
DX â Week 1: Blood Culture (positive for salmonella typhi). Week 2: Agglutination (Widal Test). Week 3: Stool Culture (positive for salmonella typhi). Week 4: Urine Culture.
Health Tips
TX â Abx: Ceftriaxone 1gm IM and Ciprofloxacin 500mg PO BID x 10-14 days. Severe: add prednisone 20-40 mg PO BID x 3 weeks. Nutrition Prevention - ⢠Hygiene and sanitation. Live Vaccine. Typhoid Polysaccharide Vaccine.
