Hello Mr.
I read your worries and doubts. Few things I wud like to clear :
1. Rabies virus is present in saliva of rabies
infected animal ,means the dog must also
have rabies & that you don't know so ur first
chance of getting rabies is not certain
( 50-50).
2. The incubation period for rabies infection is
most commonly is 2 to 3 months, and
maximum but very rare is 1 year but such
long period of incubation depend upon the
site of dog bite and load of virus . So most
commonly you have already passed the
incubation period of 2 to 3 months. By now
you would have got symptoms like
hydrophobia, excitement ,hyperactivity &
paralysis and I believe none of these
symptoms are present, so your second chance
of infection is again zero percent.
3. Saliva contact over your skin is must for
infection to enter your body and that is not
present in ur case, it's just a touch/press by a
dog so again the chance of infection is null &
void.
4. Most importantly now ,your thought process
and content regarding infection is
inappropriate and out of proportion. If still
excessive thought of getting infection is
present in you and this is causing impairment
in ur personal, social & occupational area.
Then it is not good at all & it will considered
as Anxiety spectrum disorder.
