Pain in stomach 5 days, already seen gp gave mebeverine no help as yet 3 days on, it's on left side burns and cramps when I eat also during the night

Only mebeverine cannot help much for the acute pain however it has to be continued for a long term. For now start with medicine meftal spas 1 Tablet 2 times a day and Pantocid 40 mg 1 tablet daily empty stomach.  If problem persists get an ultrasound abdomen done and consult a Gastroenterologist. If required then he might as well suggest and endoscopy.
