Staining due to rexidin mouthwash

2020-02-13 02:49:22
I visited a dentist around 2 weeks back. He said I had bleeding gums problem and gave me rexidin mouthwash and said to dilute it and use. I noticed brown stains on my teeth a couple of days back. Is this caused by the mouthwash and what should I do to remove the stains now? Please help.

the chorhexidine causes brown stains on prolonged use , you can get your teeth cleaned and polished to make the look normal as before. bridgewaydental.com

Hi,the stains may be present already,if you have bleeding gums, the cause is accumulation of tartar,so get a thorough scaling and curettage done.

Rexidine usually doesn't cause any stains. You can visit dentist for ultrasonic scaling to remove stains.
