Is not a complicated surgery . You can resume you routine activities in 3-4 days time. Though you will have to keep using post operative drops for longer.

I would suggest you to go for surgery after your exams. You will not be able to concentrate on your studies. Surgery cost depends on number of  muscles to be corrected. A week's time rest at home would be desirable after the surgery.
