Spherical and cylindrical power

I just wanted some clarification about my eye power.. I’ve got -1.50(spherical) in my right eye and -1.0( spherical) and -0.50(cylindrical) in my left. The place where I am going to order my contact lens are asking me to go for only spherical lenses for both the eyes as cylindrical power in my left eye is very less and negligible.. is it ok for me go for spherical only for my left eye? If it is ok, should I be asking them for a little bit of higher power for my spherical - say -1.25 as right now it is -1.0?

Have a trial with and without cylinder. If you are comfortable without cylinder,Then only avoid cylinder. Otherwise not.

Yes your cylindrical power can be avoided. You need not get higher power lens. Just use spherical power.
