Babies speech development goes as following 1. By 2-3 months, cooing: oohh, ahhh 2. By 4-6 months, start of babbling, start making noises to show emotions, by 6 months laugh loudly 3. By 6-9 months, start bysyllables like maaamma, mumm mumm, puppp puppa 4. By 10-12 months they usually learn their first words like amma 5. After 1 years babies vocabulary increases rapidly, they constantly learn new words, make up their own words for things like mummu for food 6. By 2 years they speak in two word sentences 7. By 3 years, 3 word sentences You can start talking to your baby by making eye contact with her; look at her watch your mouth as you speak, show her things around house and point them with names, like this is Kitchen, this is table, this is chair, that’s a dog, like this constantly engage her with things familiar around her All recognised bodies in pediatrics strictly recommend no screen time for children under 2 years of age. Screen time is one way learning, babies learn by two way engagement Hence engage with your baby in day today routine to increase their vocabulary and also this makes them emotionally stable and comfortable
