I took antibiotics for sore throat and cough last. I was advised Mucolyte Sr capsule also but didn't find them anywhere then, now I have got it and the cough still persists, Can I take take Mucolyte capsules alone now or what medicines do I need to take with it?

Consult ENT online,give complete history,try to take a photo with mouth open and say aaaaaaaa.send to the ent with whom fix online consult.till then drink plenty of water.
