There could be gaps between be margin of the cap and the gums ( I.e where the caps meet the gum ) which causes food debris to trap . In the long run this can lead to secondary decaying of the tooth structure below the cap . Either you have to visit a dentist every three to six months to get the gaps cleaned or the caps be changed . Bad breath can be due to the marginal gaps . If there are no gaps and food trap zones in your caps and artificial teeth then get a scaling every six months . Tongue cleansing in the morning and brushing at night can reduce bad breath .
