While I am trying to sleep I am unable to do so. I think that I am going breathless and got awake within few seconds and sleep gets disturb. I was on medication for anxiety two times but it gives me relief for sometime and when I stop medicine after few days again same problem of sleep and weird feeling comes back. Is it neurological or what. Should I go from brain scan or MRI .Please someone help

It is likely psychological. You can get a MRI Brain scan to rule out neurological causes. Sometimes in the Sleep centres If your mind (brain) if there are certain changes in the sleep neurotransmitters ( proteins) you cna have this symptom. Consult a psychiatrist and take treatment. Don't feel stressed due to this. Good luck

Instead of MRI please undergo a sleep study(polysomnography) All your biological parameters during sleep will be monitored and recorded including things like oxygen saturation in blood, heart rate and breathing. Breathlessness during lying down is called orthopnea, which can also be due to certain cardiac and lung factors. So you can also get a cardiologist’s opinion. If all above factors are ruled out, it is most likely a feeling of breathlessness from anxiety as you might be unknowingly breathing fast/ hyperventilating. Please visit a psychiatrist to get treatment for anxiety and meanwhile practice deep breathing techniques
