Thanks for reaching out. Side-effects like nausea and gastric irritation are usually self limiting and transient in the beginning of the treatment. Medication is tailored according to individual requirements with as best a response as possible with no distressing effects. After a recovery has been established from the medication which usually happens within the first few weeks, medicines will have to be continued for a certain period of time (usually few months to an year or two). By completing the entire said duration of course, the chances of reoccurring symptoms will be significantly lower and often patients go symptom free for a long long time. Even if they do occur, they will be much more manageable. The quality of life would be drastically increased having gotten treated at the earliest. Hope this clarified your concerns. All the best. There are variety of medication available for anxiety disorders and side effects profile of every medication is different So you have to be more specific about the medication you want to know about the side effects of. Anxiety has both physical components and psychological (mind) components Mostly physical and partly psychological will go away with medication but until you do not make active life style changes, factors that cause anxiety at the first place are still there which could trigger symptoms and symptoms could come back
