I have diagnosed with right shoulder partial dislocation in right shoulder and have been suggested surgery after consulting from 2.3 doctors . But i am still unclear will i will be able to play outdoor sports normally after 4-5 months or even after few more months without the threat of dislocation ? As the doctor i recently consulted told me that i have to be precautious while playing as it will not be like the original part its a repair ( age - 22 ). I have also attached my mri report please look at it. Also in lay man term what my doc told me what's gonna happen in surgery is he will attach an anchor to the bone which has been tempered and then he will attach tissues to new anchor and fill the gap. So please tell after thia surgery will i be able to play sport properly without any restriction and precaution surely after full recovery.

Surgery will mean reattaching any loose bit of the tissue around the socket part of the shoulder joint. In addition you also have a lesion in the humerus. Even after surgery, you will have to be careful. Surgery is effective in dealing with dislocations. However you will have 4-6 months of rehabilitation along with exercises. When you return to sport, you will have to be careful initially and even later the movements which can trigger a dislocations need to be avoided. Your chance of repeat dislocations is no doubt higher due to the very nature of the tissues around the shoulder joint. Hope this helps.
