Short Sighted for last 5 years. She recently became mom and has 6 months old son. She is planning to do a lasik surgery for short sight and need an opinion to go forward or not at this time. Thanks in advance.

hello lasik is very good option to get rid of glasses Doctor will perform few tests (Schirmer test, Pentacam and Fundus examination) and if all tests are normal then you can go for lasik surgery without fear. Success rate of LASIK is over 96%. we dont advise lasik to nursing mothers till 1 year after delivery

She can not undergo lasik surgery till feeding to baby is continued. So after completion of feeding and getting regular menstrual cycle she can go for surgery.
