My sister have 12 mm stone in her gallbladder,and she only have one kydney fully functional,so for how long time there is no need of operation....

If she has no symptoms she can wait..if symptoms are there...she requires laparoscopic surgery as any complication like cholecystitis or stone slipping in CBD can cause infection and further strain on single kidney...better to remove a non functioning gall bladder
