Sexual abuse
I've been sexually abused by my father as a kid. Somehow I lived with throughout my life without telling anyone about it until few days back. Now my boyfriend who knows about this wants to confront it to my father and ask him why he did that to me. However I don't want this to happen. I don't want to see my father getting hurt with this confrontation. This thought has left me anxious and stressed. What should I do ?

There is no point in confrontation it will make everything worse
U need to come out of any trauma u r experiencing due to that

If you really a welwisher of your father then you have to make him realize how big mistake he done, otherwise he will keep doing with others too.
But definitely not in this way, console your boyfriend that talking to father in this issue will not change anything, may be situations become worse and you may feel more guilt to embrssing your father. Tell your bf that he want to sooth her or make her condition worse.
Promise him to communicate your father his mistake appropriately.
Next Steps
Also communicate your father about his mistake by using your mother's help because if you will not do so then he may abuse any other Innocent girl. only you can prevent.

After careful evaluation of your history, I suggest you don't allow your boy friend to confront ur father. This is not the way it should be addressed. In sexual abuse we do all therapy to heal the trauma. In trauma focused therapy there is no place of confronting the perpetrator from past...we do therapy for both victim and the perpetrator. I suggest you ...let's have clear discussion.... Take professional help......than ... Some immature decision...which will result in more harrassment. We understand his (bf's) anger but this not the way....the things happened in the past need to be addressed first than ....it will heal in you...
