Severe Tooth pain

Hi Doctor, My grandma is 80yrs old, due to current situation we are unable to visit dentist. She is having severe tooth pain from yesterday.. unable to eat. Suddenly pain is increasing and after some time it is bearable. Teeth not shaking. But pain is there both in teeth and gums. Her whole right half of the face is paining. Can she take any pain killer.. kindly help. We tried home remedies like clove and crystal Salt.

Does she have any cavity in the tooth,  and is there any swelling present around the teeth.

If the pain is severe ,she will need symptomatic relief Give her ketorol DT 2 tabs stat for severe pain And the start zerodol sp 2 tab per day for 3 days If there is swelling also then the antibiotic augmentin 375 may be added 3 times for 3 days daily to the regime Also an anti acidity drug like Omez-d should be taken before food in the morning for 3 days

Yes she can take pain killer like paracetamol ..Calpol 650 if she is having any medical history or disease. But if she is not having any medical history or disease, you can give her Tab Ketoral Dt as and when required.
Next Steps
Kindly tell her to apply ice pack( 4 to 5 ice wrapped in cloth or hanky) and tell her to apply this ice pack there externally on the area of tooth pain  for 10 to 15 minutes 4 to 5 times in a day.
