Empty nose syndrome is a very rare complication . You should definitely go for septoplasty and there is nothing to worry.

In my 25+ years of practice, none of my patients ever encountered ENS! I have however treated many patients who underwent surgery elsewhere by surgical "greenhorns" who developed ENS!

If possible, come down to Bangalore and meet me. However, you will need to be in Bangalore for 2 weeks for the same. Hospitalisation is only for 1-2days(depending on the type of Mediclaim policy you hold), but the rest of the time is for careful postoperative care to ensure a successful outcome.
