Scrotal itching post workouts & at night

2026-01-04 05:57:44
I had groin and scrotal itching that got worse after workouts and at night. I used luliconazole cream and antifungal powder for about two months. The itching did not resolve. Now I have localized thickened, hard, ridge-like patches on the scrotum and inner thigh folds, and those exact spots itch the most. There is no discharge, no ulcers, no pain. Antifungals haven’t helped, and sweating triggers the itch.

Young man... Your scrotum is located in the sensitive 1% region of all humans. Lesions that affect this area are not necessarily due to fungus and it appears this way in your case. Would you perchance say there are a lot of stressors in your life? Marital status & sexual history may be important here and to be discussed and assessed if linked. Stress of any other nature also could focus on this area and become a chronic cycle so best to discuss it with a Dermatologist who understands you. There is a condition called LSC scrotum that fits into your described symptoms. Yes the sweat 💦 will be an aggravation and that needs to be addressed too.

If based in Bangalore, an in-person consultation may be useful; Alternatively an online consultation not so bad either.

From the history it does not look like a fungal infection. Scrotum and groins can have other conditions as well.
Next Steps
Do a proper video consultation or meet a doctor in person.
Health Tips
Avoid oral antifungals or over the counter medicine might worsen the condition.

Detailed history and clear images are required for correct diagnosis and treatment. Sometimes only topical treatment won't be sufficient for Fungal infection. You need to take tablets also. Precautions should be taken for prevention of recurrence.
