Scratch after Rabies booster shot

2026-08-22 05:32:08
Hi, I got my second and last booster shot on 7th Aug, then 10 days later on 17th Aug, I got minor scratch from a stray cat. 1 drop of blood in saw. Nothing much. Am I still protected from booster shots or do I need to get shots again ?

You are already protected. A completed booster course on 7th August covers you.
Next Steps
Wash the scratch with soap and running water, apply an antiseptic. One or two booster doses may still be advised, so please confirm with your vaccinating doctor.
Health Tips
Watch for redness, pus or fever at the site.
