Sciatica pain

I am 9 months pregnant. I have developed pain in my right leg..it radiates from hip downwards. My gynaecologist told me it looks like nerve compression probably sciatica common during pregnancy. I can't take any painkillers as they are not allowed during pregnancy.Anything I can do to reduce pain? I have difficulty in walking also
