You may need to take medicines for long time if it is confrmed that you indeed have schizophrenia. But it might be something else like depression with psychotic symptoms. A psychiatrist would need to know detailed history and symptoms. What exactly are your symptoms when you say 'i have episode again' ?
Next Steps
Make sure to give detailed history and symptoms to your treating psychiatrist so that he can make proper diagnosis.
Health Tips
might consider second opinion to make sure about diagnosis.

It depends on response and while decreasing Medication,if symptoms are occurring, better to use for quite long period of time.
