I am having cavity problem which is affecting my tooth .only root canal is an option for that or is there any other option

If the cavity is small and not affecting nerve of your tooth then the tooth can be saved by filling . But if nerve is involved root canal is required .
Next Steps
visit a dentist at earliest so that your tooth can be saved .

The depth and extent of cavity is the main indicator to whether you need a root canal in the first place. And if it is deep enough it sure will need a root canal treatment. The only alternative is extraction, though cheap... Unadvised!
