May be it's muscular strain.Don't do any exercise now. Visit physiotherapy center take IFT and ULTASOUND treatment and learn strengthening exercise for neck do it regularly.. Apply pain relief gel and do hot formatation 15 mins 2-3 times a day..Take full break from your work atleast 1-2 days.

Don't band your neck n work..follow ergonomics, possible than work on dest top not in lap top, take frequent break in work do some neck warm up exercise every 1-2 hr in work time. Avoid carrying bagpack on one side. avoid bike riding and once pain is subsite do neck strngthening exercise every day
