Right side burning pain beside naval

2026-10-02 14:21:39
For the past 3 weeks, I have been suffering from severe abdominal pain and gas problems. It initially started one day after I stayed without eating all morning and then had a meal at around 4 PM. At that time, I felt gas moving throughout my abdomen. The problem was worse at night, and after eating, I experienced pain on the right side of my abdomen. Now, the pain on the right side of my abdomen feels like a stabbing pain, and there is a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen. A few days ago, the pain was so severe that I was even having difficulty walking. I can walk normally now, but the severe internal abdominal pain has not improved. The pain is mainly on the right side of the abdomen, starting around the right side of the navel and extending toward the lower right abdomen, where I feel a sense of heaviness. My bowel movements are normal and soft, and I do not have constipation. There is also a burning sensation and pain on the right side of my abdomen. My usg report normal.

* Right-sided abdominal pain for 3 weeks needs clinical evaluation; possibilities include appendicular, urinary/renal, gastrointestinal or gynecological causes.
Next Steps
You need to take some blood tests include CBC,ESR,CRP,LFT,RFT.If ultrasound is normal consider taking CT abdomen because USG may miss appendicitis
Health Tips

Drink more water. Usg should have shown appendicitis if it was the diagnosis. Renal stone is also a possibility.

A right-sided pain that sits low in your abdomen and has lasted three weeks is worth a focused gynaecological look too, not just a gut one.
Next Steps
Ask for a dedicated pelvic ultrasound, since a general abdomen scan doesn't always capture the ovaries in detail. Please discuss this with a gynaecologist alongside your treating doctor.
Health Tips
Go in for urgent review if the pain turns severe again, you develop fever, or vomiting starts.
