You have elevated TSH (5.7) with normal T3 and T4 → this is subclinical hypothyroidism. Since you are already on thyronorm 50 mcg, this suggests under-replacement or need for dose adjustment.
Next Steps
-Increase thyroxine dose from 50 mcg to 62.5 mcg once daily (empty stomach morning) -Recheck TSH after 6–8 weeks -Take tablet strictly on empty stomach, 30–60 min before food -Avoid taking with calcium/iron within 4 hours
Health Tips
-Do not skip doses -Regular follow-up needed for dose titration -Target TSH usually between 0.5–4 -Weight, stress, and compliance affect levels contact me anytime on practo for further consultation

Do not adjust your dosage yourself. It takes at least 6 to 8 weeks for TSH levels to stabilize
Next Steps
Consult a Endocrinologist. Ensure you are taking the tablet daily on an empty stomach with water only.

It is common for TSH levels to take some time to stabilize after starting or adjusting thyroid medication. Since your TSH is currently 5.7 mIU/L (which is slightly above the typical target range of 0.4–4.0 mIU/L) but your T3 and T4 are normal, you are currently in a state of subclinical hypothyroidism. Key Guidance for You: Medication Consistency: Thyronorm (Levothyroxine) is highly sensitive to absorption. Ensure you are taking it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, at least 30–60 minutes before tea, coffee, or breakfast. Avoid taking calcium or iron supplements within 4 hours of your thyroid dose. The Goal of Treatment: For most patients on treatment, the goal is to bring TSH into the lower half of the normal range (usually 0.5 to 2.5 mIU/L). A level of 5.7 suggests that your current dose of 50 mcg might need a very slight adjustment, but this depends on your symptoms (like fatigue or weight gain) and clinical history. Timeline: TSH is slow to respond. It usually takes 6 to 8 weeks of consistent medication for the levels to reflect a new steady state in your blood. Next Steps: Do not change your dose on your own. I recommend continuing the 50 mcg dose for now and re-testing your TSH in another 4 weeks. If your TSH remains above 4.0–5.0 in the next report, your doctor may consider increasing your dose slightly (e.g., to 62.5 mcg). Please keep a log of any persistent symptoms like unusual tiredness, hair fall, or feeling cold, as these help determine if the dose needs to be adjusted even if the numbers are nearly normal.
