Giving it every year is the best way to protect your child during flu season. Delaying the shot may leave them unprotected, especially in the upcoming season.

Hello The child already received first influenza vaccine on 7/9/2024 (as per card), around 21 months of age. Next annual dose is due after 1 year, i.e., around September 2025.

Thank you for your question. As per IAP recommendations, influenza vaccine should be given annually starting at 6 months of age. It is not necessary to wait till the child is 3 years old. For your daughter (DOB: 07.12.2022), she is eligible to receive the influenza vaccine every year, ideally before the flu season (typically June–July or just before the monsoon and winter season in India). ✅ So, it is best to give the next dose in December 2025 when she turns 3 years — but you don’t need to wait till after 3 years. The goal is yearly vaccination irrespective of age between 6 months and 5 years, as children under 5 are at higher risk of complications from flu.

Always better to take pre-monsoon but yeah if not possible then you can take it in December also. No worries
