There is a lot of force in our bite. Sometimes unconsciously we might bite very hard on the food causing the tooth structure to chip off. This trauma from occlusion. TFO. Yes you’ll feel pain radiating to the root and the bone of the tooth. It will go in few days.
If the accumulation of the food is causing you pain then there must be a caries plus pocket formation in between the two teeth. Sometimes the gums surrounding the tooth gets receded plus get uplifted from the tooth structure causing a gap or pocket formation in between the teeth.
There is solution to every problem.
You need is scaling in that region and one xray. If caries is present in between the teeth, it will show up in the xray. Depending upon the severity of caries you’ll be treated accordingly. If shallow caries is present, then tooth restoration will be done. If caries is deep, then root canal will be suggested.
If there is gum pain use gum paint. Eg, Gumex. For the gums of upper teeth, take few drops on the tips of your finger and pinch the gums and massage it in downward direction gently. You’ll feel a little pain, but due to blood circulation, it will help you heal faster.
