Please do not stop beta blockers suddenly on your own. Consult with me once with your Holter and ECG details I’ll guide you regarding whether repeat Holter or ECHO is needed and how to safely adjust medicines.

Having only 6 PVCs in a 24-hour Holter period is an excellent result—in many clinical settings, fewer than 100 PVCs a day is considered within the normal physiological range. However, this 'normal' result is likely because the beta-blocker is effectively shielding your heart from the effects of adrenaline. If you stop the medication abruptly, your heart may experience a 'rebound' effect where the pulse rate spikes and the PVCs increase. At 26, we need to determine if your high pulse was due to temporary factors (anxiety, caffeine, or vitamin deficiencies) or a primary cardiac rhythm issue before deciding to stop treatment."
Next Steps
To review your original Holter report and design a safe tapering schedule if your blood work is normal, please book a full consultation session via my Practo profile."
Health Tips
Caffeine & Stimulant Audit: "Reduce or eliminate coffee, energy drinks, and nicotine. These are potent triggers for PVCs and high pulse rates; often, removing these can allow a patient to stop medication entirely." Stress Management: "Since your pulse rate was high, incorporate 10 minutes of deep-breathing exercises (Pranayama) daily. This calms the autonomic nervous system, which is what the beta-blocker is currently doing chemically." Caution: "Beta-blockers can sometimes mask the symptoms of other issues. Do not assume that a 'normal pulse' on medication means the underlying cause has been 'cured' without further investigation." Red Flags: "Seek immediate medical attention if you experience fainting (syncope), sudden chest pain, or if you feel your heart 'skipping' multiple beats in a row, especially if accompanied by breathlessness
