After taking one dose of Gardasil 9 can I engage in sexual activity? Or do I have to wait till 8 months after getting fully vaccinated to perform sexual intercourse? FYI, I am not that sexually active, I do it after every 4-5months as currently I'm in a long distance relationship. I never had multiple sexual patners. Also wanted to know after taking the dose will I experience any side effects?

You can indulge in sexual activity. Of course you are taking a calculated risk. But then every person who indulges in sexual activity doesn't get infection.

You should complete the vaccination schedule as prescribed. There is no need for restrictions to sexual activity till course completion.

The HPV vaccine can be given to anyone, even if they are already sexually active:  If you are already sexually active, you can still get the vaccine. It will offer protection against any HPV strains you have not yet been exposed to.  The vaccine is not a treatment for existing HPV infections; it only protects against strains that have not yet been contracted.

The HPV vaccine is very safe, and most side effects are mild and temporary. Many people experience no side effects at all.
