Red eyes when using contacts

2022-06-24 16:15:39
I have been using contacts since 2015. When I became pregnant in 2019, my eyes started becoming red when using contacts so I stopped wearing them. I started back using them in January, but am having the same issue again. I don't feel irritation or anything. I feel fine when i wear them, but once I take it off is when the eyes become red. I tried using Himalaya eye drops for dry eyes, it is a little better when I use it, but eyes are still becoming red. I was using Bauch and Lombe yearly lens before . Now I am using Aqualens torric monthlys since I have astigmatism as well. I am more comfortable wearing lens than glasses and would like to use them. Can you tell my why my eyes might be turning red and a remedy for it? Thank you! :)

May be corneal irritation is cause for redness.....better go for clinical examination with any nearby Ophthalmologist

You can use Eyemist eye drops 2-4 times a day over the CL. Don't use lenses for more than 8 hrs. Consult an ophthalmologist in clinic for proper management and understanding what exactly the problem is.

Hello! I would recommend you to take a consult so that we can discuss the use of contact lenses. And yes, you will be able to use contacts regularly as you're more comfortable with it.
