Hello Mrs. Radhika, it is mentioned that you are 29 yrs and a software engineer. Is that your profile or that of your husband's. If you are staying close by I would prefer you walk into our centre , timings and fees are displayed online. We are taking all necessary precautions. We can do a complete eye examination in person as vision check is difficult online. As he is taking extralube eye drops with no relief its best you come in person. take care . best regards Dr. Priya

If the redness is localized to one side of the eye without discharge then it could be episcleritis/scleritis. Usually associated with a dull aching pain. In such a situation it’s better to consult with an eye doctor as a clinical examination is essential prior to prescribing eye drops. It may be dangerous to do this over the phone.
Next Steps
Please schedule an appointment with a local eye doctor. If in Mumbai you may contact us at Arete Clinics.
Health Tips
Please do not use over the counter eye drops or steroids without clinical examination by qualified Ophthalmologist.

This looks like Episcleritis . Lubricants will not do. Need to add antibiotic and steroids with tapering doses over 2-3wks. If pain is there on eye movement, it might be scleritis with episcleritis. Also mention about any discharge if present.
Next Steps
visit eye hospital for proper eye checkup
Health Tips
If vision is affected, complete eye checkup is mandatory.
