Recently had elbow fracture. Now joined
Recently had fracture but now bone is joined after 15 days of plaster. She is currently doing physiotherapy but the problem is after completing physiotherapy she has lot of pain and swelling, arm gets locked. Is there any medicine which can be taken before or after doing physiotherapy?
Bone does not join within 15 days of plaster. Surely not in a 54 yr old. Have started physio early. Bone takes atleast 4 to 6 weeks to consolidate and pain to subside completely even if its a v small fracture. Xray AP view and a CT Scan is more helpful in this case. This looks like an Capitellum and Trochlea fracture IntraArticular fracture for which surgery would have been more helpful based on the fitness of the patient. Some HiFi words but you can google it for more knowledge.
Next Steps
Stop physio if painful. Take basic painkillers and visit your ortho doc for regular follow ups.
