If one had full course of 5 injections 2 years back, and in case there is a re-exposure, so 2 doses of Anti rabies vaccine as booster are advised on days 0 and 3. Now if the first booster is delayed and taken 14 days after the re-exposure date, (person was scratched by monkey on March 1), first booster shot of ARV was given on March 14 (Day 0) and second dose of ARV on 17/03/23 (Day 3). Are these two booster doses of ARV sufficient to protect him or as the doses were delayed in being given, one has to complete full course of 5 injections now to be fully protected? (It was for a cousin who told about the monkey scratch late, but he had full course in June 2021.)
