Rct prescribed 2 years ago..
In 36 (as doctor written) of my teeth I e in lower left doctor prescribed me rct, for same 10 years ago doctor told me to go for grafting... I was confused and some other dentist extracted my wisdom tooth and told ur pain will be relieved now .
I again went to doctor 4 days ago as very severe pain in 36 and she told me rct required....
2 doctors gave me different opinion I e grafting vs rct... Will you please tell me difference... Pain of my teeth radiated in nearby teeth as well ear
Rct is done for a tooth when the decay has reached upto the nerves of the teeth and grafting is done for a sight where there is bone loss or deficient bone . Rct can be done in any and every tooth but it is the survival rate of ur tooth after the rct which is one of the major concerns for we doctors to decide wether or not should an rct be done .
So understand the reason of ur doctor why ur tooth can not be saved by rct . May be it is decayed upto that extent that it is difficult to restore ur tooth , hence ur doc maybe planning for extraction followed by grafting and an implant .
