Touching a dog's fur is not an exposure at all, rabies does not spread through intact skin or fur. Even if a little saliva touched the skin near your thumb, saliva on unbroken skin carries no risk. A hangnail type mark that stings on touch is usually just dry skin or a small tear, not a bite, and there was no bleeding or visible bite mark. So no extra dose is required for today's incident, simply continue your ongoing schedule and take your 4th dose on 27th August as planned. Do wash that thumb area with soap and running water and apply an antiseptic for reassurance. If in future a dog bites and breaks the skin after your course is complete, you would only need two booster doses on day 0 and day 3, no immunoglobulin. Try not to keep replaying the incident, that anxiety is far more troublesome than the actual risk here.
