Hi, its been 10 months since I quit smoking, I smoked for 5 years, are my lungs better and cleaner like a never smoker now?

Hello Sir , Once you start smoking and you smoke on a continuous basis , there is a certain amount of lung damage which will never be same like a non smoker lung . But it is an excellent step to stop smoking and it requires a lot of courage to do so . And ceasing smoking prevents the lung from further damage and at the same time it saves you from cardiovascular diseases as well . But we can never be very sure that the amount of smoking has cause a lung damage but it all depends on the quantity . But again Keep up this good effort . All the best sir
